Kevin commenced his agency practice under Des O’Shea initially, as an assistant Livestock Agent some 20 years ago.

Under Des’ guidance, Kevin obtained his Real Estate License whilst he was working as a stock agent, and as well as selling livestock, Kevin became proficient in Clearing Sales and Real Estate transactions.

Kevin took over the business to become Medland & Hicks, when Des went into real estate on a full time basis, and recently sold his share of the business to concentrate fully on the real estate industry with our Company.

Kevin maintains his enthusiasm with real estate, and with his wife Fiona and 3 youngsters, has purchased a farmlet on the outskirts of Shepparton.

Kevin is concentrating on Residential and Rural real estate transactions and will continue our tradition of promoting the Auction System.

Rocky has a thorough knowledge of the residential market, his professional, honest, hardworking approach and accurate appraisal of many types of properties have made him one of the highest performers in the Shepparton district.

His expertise in sub-divisions and its process from sourcing land to having developers on hand, dealing with development costs, stage planning and pricing blocks for sale has come from his successful contribution to the land estates such as Kialla Lakes, Ivanhoe, Pine Hawk, Crestwood, Poplar Gardens, Streeton Drive, Orchard Haven and Bowland Close.

Born and bred in Shepparton and fluent in Italian, Rocky has many contacts and has an extensive client base who trust and respect him.

Ron Stewart first started in real estate in 1968 when he joined his father's, Jock Stewart, real estate agency.  In 1980 Ron made the decision to concentrate on commercial & industrial properties and has gone on to be highly successful, managing & selling a number of multi-million dollar properties.

Darren has lived within the Numurkah area for over 20 years, bringing a local touch to our Numurkah office were he is predominately based. Prior to commencing with Kevin Hicks Real Estate in mid 2004, Darren had been working for Goulburn Murray Water for over 14 years in planning and has serviced all 8,000 plus wheels in the Murray Irrigation System, and concentrates solely on rural properties with great understanding of high & low security water, water subdivisions, temporary sales, deep lead and underground water.  Darren also has a strong knowledge of rural subdivisions and has a strong local client base as well as New Zealand, Gippsland and Western District contacts.

The founder of our Company, Des O’Shea has been a Shepparton resident for the majority of his life, having attended local schools until commencing in the Stock & Station Agency business with McNamara & Company.

Des commenced D.J. O’Shea & Company some 25 years ago prominently dealing in all forms of livestock selling, where his reputation for honesty and hard work has followed him into the Real Estate industry. Des is well known for his rural property dealings such as broad acre cropping, sheep and cattle farms, dairies, out paddocks and smaller hobby farms. He also has an extensive knowledge of residential real estate having sold a broad range of home, investment properties and vacant land.

Des has a down to earth “No Frills” approach to Real Estate transactions and a shake of his hand is his bond.

Barry Jones is a knowledgeable, highly respected agent with 27 years experience in the industry.

One of the few fully qualified and registered plant and machinery valueers, he does jobs all over Victoria, his extensive rural knowledge and skill at clearing sales make him a valuable asset.

Barry learned the ropes with Les Young and the late Danti Rossignoli and appreciates that they taught him the right way to go about things in real estate.

Warren lives in Kyabram with his wife Merrilyn and 5 children. He has been actively involved in the Kyabram and Tongala communities for the past 25 years, playing and coaching football with the Kyabram Football Club and also coaching at both Lancaster and Girgarre. Warren has served on the Tongala Kindergarten committee, Haslem Street Primary School Council, and is a current member of the new school council for the Kyabram P-12 school.Warren has a passion for the Kyabram/Tongala area and feels that it is an ideal place to bring up a family with some of the best sporting and community facilities in the Goulburn Valley.With a strong Dairy farming background firstly with his own farm at Tongala then managing large operations in South Australia and then in Kyabram, combined with experience in new home sales and finance broking, and the backing of Goulburn Valley’s leading Rural & Residential Agency, Kevin Hicks Real Estate, Warren is the local Agent who CAN sell your Rural or Residential property.

Chris Drum, who has been in rural and residential sales since 2001, joined Kevin Hicks Real Estate in 2006. Growing up in the Murray Valley & Goulburn Valley areas, is a valuable member to the team.

 

Mark brings a wealth of experience from the rural sector with him to the Kevin Hicks team. He has been actively involved in professional management and development of various agricultural enterprises for over 3 decades: stud and commercial beef production in North East Victoria,  Western Victoria and Central New South Wales; dairying in the Goulburn Valley and Western Victoria;  sheep and cropping in the Tasmanian Midlands and the Central West of New South Wales.

Mark studied Farm Business Management at Marcus Oldham College in Geelong. This has given him a solid understanding of the requirements of rural landholders and their needs with the marketing and purchasing of rural property.

Mark is married with four children and has been a part of this regional community for over a decade. Being based on a small farm just out of Benalla, his goal  is to achieve service excellence in  the Benalla and North East region  by implementing a practical approach to rural property marketing coupled with the support of the best  real estate  staff in the region at Kevin Hicks.

Mark is specialising in agricultural and rural lifestyle properties and agribusiness enterprises.

I am married to a local girl, Jessica and we both support our local community and believe Shepparton is the perfect place to work, play sport, socialize and bring up a family.

 

My interest in property began almost 20 years ago when I purchased my first home, 5 years later selling and building for the first time.  In 1997 my husband Greg and I settled in Mooroopna with our family buying a 1930’s house which we spent 10 years renovating and making it our home.   After having our fourth child I returned to full time work at The Shepparton Advisor Newspaper.  In 2002 my grounding in the hospitality industry led us to owning and operating Makabys Café & Reception Centre at Kidstown.  We spent 4 years committed to making it a successful business.  We catered for all types of functions and felt personal fulfilment being involved in and responsible for significant celebrations and milestones in peoples lives.   After four years of self employment I returned home for almost 18 months.  As a person who enjoys a challenge I took up golf and trading the stock market.  I completed extensive education in the Equity and Foreign Exchange markets and trading derivatives.   My husband and I have four children.  Shannon is in his first year studying Physics at Melbourne University, Keaton has almost finished Year 12, Briana is currently in Year 10 at Notre Dame College and Makadde attends St Mary’s Primary School and is in Grade 3.   Property has always interested me and I now feel I am in a position to pursue a career in Real Estate.  I take pride and satisfaction in a job well done and set very high standards for myself.  Kevin Hicks Real Estate has an excellent reputation and is well regarded in the Real Estate industry and I am committed to embracing the opportunity I have.

Amy is the Property Manager for the Numurkah branch, managing rentals in Numurkah, Nathalia and surrounding areas.  Amy a local Numurkah girl has been with the company since 2005 and is a terrific asset to our team.
